Where have we been?

YIKES, I have been so very bad at updating the last few months...heck I just finished the Wedding thank you notes...just have to mail them...sorry about the lateness!!! Jayson and I have been just swamped at work and by the time we get home with Mya, the last thing on our mind is the blog...LOL!! Mya is changing so fast...its hard not to get emotional about her growing up so fast! She is doing so well at daycare and at home. She can sing her ABC's, well most of it and count to 10 with our help! Very proud of our little girl! She is such a silly little girl with such a caring heart. She will go out of her way to help in any way she can....her new favorite thing is to find garbage and walk it to the garbage can...see, very helpful! She is also learning how to use the potty...she will use it, but it is not consistent yet! She will get there. I just cant believe she is almost 2. I will post some pics from the Halloween Season and I promise to keep you updated!!! All our love!

WE ARE MARRIED!!!

So, it has been awhile, I know, but things have been super busy, as usual! HOWEVER, we had a BEAUTIFUL wedding on September 5th!!! The weather was perfect, and the ceremony was amazing. It was so special having just close friends and family there with us! We even had a surprise guest come all the way from Florida!! Thanks Aunt Jill, it was so great to have you there!!! Mya was a perfect little flower girl and was such a sweetheart all day!! She was a trooper and made it until 10pm!!! HAHA!!! It just feels so good and right to be married, just a blessing really!!!

So on top of the wedding, I (Amanda) started a new job at St. Scholastica in the nursing department! It is going great, but I miss my time home with Mya. But we do it all for her, someday she will get that, haha! I am still at Sears as a photographer as well. Jayson is busy at the radio station, working like crazy as always. Since we work alot it sure makes the time we have together as a family extra special! We have family night every Tuesday and so something fun all together!!!

Mya is having fun in daycare and is always learning something new...we can make it through the alphabet, and she can spell her name, not to shabby for 20 months!!! However we are working on sharing, with daycare comes the word, "mine" so that has been a bit of a challenge at times. She is such a helper and just a big hearted little girl, we couldn't ask for a sweeter daughter!!!

Busy Busy Bees!

Sorry it has been so long, but man it just seems like we have been so busy with work, Mya and wedding planing! Speaking of wedding its only a few weeks away, very excited!! We found a great Reverend to marry us and she has a BEAUTIFUL ceremony that even includes Mya, very sweet! And while I am talking about weddings, our friend John was married this past weekend at the Rose Garden in Duluth. I will post some pics of Mya running around the roses! Jayson was in the wedding and he looked very handsome in his tux, Mya sure thought so, calling Daddy "pretty!"

Besides all the wedding planning we have been dealing with a half broken car...the PT keeps blowing fuses when the air is turned on in turn overheating the car....NOT FUN!!! It has been in the shop 3 times and will have to go in again.....not so happy since we have had to use our wedding budget money to fix the damn car!!!! :o(

On a happier note, I got a new job at St. Scholastica and start on Monday, kinda a bittersweet feeling because I will miss my old job and employer, but you have to do what you have to do!!! I will continue at Sears Portrait Studios as well, just because I LOVE taking pics and the extra cash is always a plus!!!

Jayson has been working non-stop for the last 2 weeks at the radio station, I think he is a little burnt out and needs a vacation...hmmmmm honeymoon maybe??? ;o)

Mya is a ball of energy and silliness!!! She is such a sweet little girl with SO MUCH love to give! Daddy taught her to say "I love you" and it melts your heart everytime! She is also becoming a huge help around the house, no seriously...we can ask her to get us something or put something back and she will!! She loves knowing she has helped and gets a proud beaming smile everytime she does!!! We have had a small issue with repeating some not so nice words....ahhh so that has been a treat as well!!! But all in all she is doing great, loving school and her friends and dancing up a storm! We have also completely stopped any bottle use about 3 weeks ago and enforced a bedtime and she has taken to it very easily!! Now comes the Nuk and potty training! Bring it on!!!

Wedding Plans and More...

Hello, sorry it has been so long since the last update. We have been pretty busy it seems. I started another job for some extra cash as a Sears Portrait Studio as a Photographer! Fun but man it poops me out! Jayson as always, is running around like a chicken with his head cut off! But somehow amongst it all we ALWAYS make time for our family. Mya is learning new things everyday and surprising us with her vocabulary more and more!!! She has learned how to sing, "I Got You Babe" and has being running around saying, "I Love You!" She has also learned how to flash her boobies...not so sure where she learned that, our guess is Grandma McQueary.....just kidding Alice!!!! I think she actually gets her belly button and boobies mixed up sometimes...HAHA!! OH, and on top of it all she has a "boyfriend" at school...I caught them hugging and kissing each other.....you better watch out Fox, Jayson has his eyes on you!!!

Jayson and I have FINALLY picked a day to tie the knot!!! September 5th, 2009!!! YES I said 2009!!! We are ready to be married and keeping it small and private! We are going to have an outdoor wedding at Brighton Beach here in Duluth. I will post a few pics of the location! Please cross your fingers that we have a nice day...actually night, seeing how we will wed close to sunset! So, the plans are in motion and we can't wait!!! Summer Winds...

Hello, sorry its been awhile, but its been a crazy busy last few weeks. Jayson's mom and grandparents came to visit a few weekends ago, it was a blast! We only wish they could have stayed longer! Mya loved having her Nana and Great Grandparents around! Lets see, what else? Mya is doing great, we would have never even known she had crawled at some point. She is a full blown walker, and now a runner! She tries to run, but usually trips on her own feet. Although, she does like to run and chase her new fascination....the wind! She loves to be outside when the wind is blowing and look up to the trees! All she can say is, "WHOA!" She will run in circles with excitement every time the wind gusts! She likes it so much she gets mad at us when we make her go inside the house. I will post some pictures of Mya's wind adventures!! She is also learning new words and things everyday, her newest word to date is "horsie." Its so amazing watching her learn, probably the coolest thing I have experienced! I'm sure Jayson would agree!

Speaking of Jayson, he is busy as always, but he has taken some time to talk about wedding plans! We are working on it!!! I promise!!!! I will be starting another part-time job as well. I have always been interested in photography, so I was lucky enough to get hired at Sears Portrait Studio as a photographer! I am pretty excited. We will give it a trial run and see how it works with our busy schedules! If at anytime we feel Mya is not getting enough time with us, we will reconsider. So we hope it all works out! Townhome, Dogs and Mya Oh My!!!

Hello! Well we are officially unpacked and moved in!!! YES!!!! The place is coming along nicely and becoming a home for us! Phoenix's barking is getting better each day too. Sometimes I think Mya is louder then than the dogs combined. She has mastered the screech, scream, and the word, "no!" She is loving the extra space too, so much so that she walks everywhere she goes and loves climbing up and down the steps! She is growing up so fast. The other day she even went pee-pee in her potty chair, not once but twice! She loves her potty chair, we ask her what do you do on the potty and she responds with, "pee pee." She is definitely testing us and pushing our buttons which can be very annoying, but she always makes up for it with one of her slobbery kisses or snugly hugs or a cute silly grin!!!! She is our little nut!!!

Grandma McQueary and Great Grandma and Grandpa Papen are coming to visit today for a few days as well! We are all excited to see them....Mya especially, she has been walking around saying Nanna!!!! Then this weekend we go to Brainerd and Little Falls for Jaysons work and to see my parents...busy busy busy!!!!

New Home!

Hello all! So we did it, we moved, well technically we are STILL moving, but its coming along. Once everything is where it needs to go we will take some pics for the blog. It is sooo nice having the extra space! Mya loves it, she is walking everywhere! The dogs are having a harder time getting used to a new routine, well I should say Phoenix is having a hard time. Poor Phoenix has a bad case of separation anxiety, always has! She barks all the time and now that we have neighbors it has become a problem. So we tried the collars, you name it we tried it. We have resorted to a muzzle, and it breaks my heart to see her like that, but at this point we are running out of options. Its that or she has to go to a new home, which we really don't want! I have been taking her for walks in the morning too to try and tucker her out. We are going to bring her to the vet as well, hoping to get some answers, we may have to medicate poor Phoenix. So cross your fingers that it all works out and we can keep our pup!!

Other than the dog drama, we have been busy packing, unpacking, cleaning and all the fun that goes along with moving. Mya has seemed to adjust well, so that makes things go a little smoother! Oh and I FINALLY have a dishwasher, where have you been all my life dishwasher, I love you!!!

Jayson is busy with work and keeping our family afloat, he is my rock really!!! Once things have settled with the move, our wedding plans can again resume!!!! Very fun!!!!

She Walks!!!

Hey there, just a quick update to let you know Mya has began walking! She is still a bit wobbly, but she has figured it out! She does however still prefer to crawl, we are guessing because she can get where she wants to go faster...but we are encouraging the walking of course! We were only able to get like a 3 second video of her walking, but its better than nothing I guess. I will post it on here.

Other then all the walking excitement, we had a good weekend. We split the time in half. We packed half of the time and just hung out as a family the other half. We don't have the time we'd like to have to do that more often, so it was fun! We went to the park and played for awhile, then spent time at home just relaxing! I think Jayson really needed that time off to just BE with Mya! I could tell how much they really missed each other....she is 100% a Daddy's Girl!!! Sadly, she is also sick AGAIN! Another respiratory virus.....its getting very old! I love her daycare, but I am not loving her being sick all the time. It may be time to see a respiratory specialist! My friend Laura is a nurse in a children's hospital and we go to her for advice alot, she thinks it would be a wise idea for Mya to see a specialist. So we are thinking that might be our next venture if this sickness keeps up.

We move on June 1st so things right now are pretty hectic, but we are really excited. Our apartment now is always cold, so this new place should be a HUGE improvement. Maybe it will be what Mya needs to feel better! We had to buy our dog Phoenix a new bark collar too, so she would not annoy our neighbors. We decided against the shock, and went for the lemon scent spray collar. It releases a puff of air that has a lemon like or citronella smell to it. I guess dogs don't like that smell....it seems to be working thus far. The good thing is Phoenix now smells like lemon pledge and not well like HER! (For those of you who have had the pleasure of smelling her breath you know what I mean! LOL!!)

Terrible Two's at 16 Months....

Hello there!! Its been over 2 weeks I know, and some of you (ahem...Laura) told me I need to update!! LOL!!! Well let's see, what has been going on these past few weeks? Well to begin, we went to Craguns Resort in Brainerd , MN over Mothers Day weekend! It was very nice and very relaxing. Jayson had to work most of the day doing remotes for the radio station, but it was still nice to just take it easy. We went to see my Mom and Dad in Little Falls on Sunday and then headed back to Duluth! Jayson and Mya made me a cute keepsake box for all of Mya's memories! Its great because I can keep all her artwork from school in there!!

Last weekend Mya and I ((Jayson once again working over the weekend) went to see my friends Laura and Ryan down in Princeton, MN. It was so nice to just to hang out with Laura, and her little baby boy inside her belly!! Mya liked to touch and pat Laura's belly too!! I hope that's not a sign she wants a little brother or sister....eek! But wow, Mya sure decided this was the weekend she was going to begin REALLY testing me! She would do something naughty, I'd tell her no, and she would keep doing it with a smile on her face.....(so hard not to laugh by the way)....she was pushing my buttons for sure!!!! Well eventually when I would get upset enough she would throw a tantrum, kicking her legs, rolling around like crazy, flailing her arms, screaming, you name it, she did it! So now at 16 months this has become a regular thing! Oh the joy of a toddler...LOL!

Speaking of toddler, Mya is doing MUCH BETTER in the toddler room at school. The teacher has warmed up to her and us, and she has made many new friends! She is always coming home with different art projects....oh and of course a bean plant...hehe!! She is having a blast! With the help of her teachers we are working on the walking situation...she still refuses to walk. She has taken up to 3 steps, but no more! I know she will get in soon.....she is doing things at her own pace. I know when she does start we will be thinking, man I wish she was still just crawling....haha!!! She is learning her ABC's however, last night we got to E.....its a start!

Well amongst the tantrums and everything else going on, we are moving in a few weeks...and we have not started.....ughhhhh I really hate packing, its even harder with all of Mya's stuff! So if you are bored and want to help, by all means!!!!!

Toddler Room!

Hello all, another week has started! The weekend was alot of fun, Mya and I went to to Little Falls for my friend Laura's Baby Shower! It was a good time and it was great to see good friends and family! This week Mya started her transition into the toddler room, its only Tuesday and the road has been a little bumpy to say the least. We are not to thrilled about the teacher in the toddler room, but are hopeful things get better. Mya is having a hard time adjusting as well. She has her friends and great teachers in the infant room and I think she gets a little nervous when she leaves that comfort zone to go somewhere new and with some kids twice her size. Jayson went to check on her today and she was eating her lunch with a tear stained face so he knew its been a rough morning for her...needless to say she was thrilled to see Daddy and was not so thrilled when he had to leave, but he left his hat for her to hang on to!!!! However on the positive side she likes sitting on the potty chair in the toddler room and some of her new toys up there! So we hope things get better for her and us, its not an easy thing, especially as new parents.

Good news!!! We are moving to a town home in Hermantown on June 1st!!! Finally we will have more room and something I have always wanted....A DISHWASHER!!!! So here begins the joy of packing, I am the worlds worst packer, seriously, ask Jayson! Wish me luck!!!!

Other than all the above this week is pretty busy for Jayson, he is buy doing remote after remote for work!! The nice thing is he has some remotes down in Brainerd so we get to stay at Craguns Resort this weekend...so kinda a nice little Mothers Day Treat!

Oh one last thing I thought I would share a few of Mya's new words!!!! Mya has upgraded from Dadda to Daddy, very cute!! She has also upgraded from Pup Pup to Doggie. Well she calls Phoenix Doggie and she has learned how to say Rocky, well it comes out "Gocky." Everything she sees now, she asks, "whats that?" And when we tell her she responds with, "WOW!" She can ask, "where's dad?" too!!! And last night we were outside playing with the dogs and Jayson was telling Phoenix to lay down and Mya also felt the need to say, "down." Very cute!!

Back at it.....

Hello, well Mya and I survived our surgeries! My mom came up on Thursday to stay with me and Mya for the weekend since Jayson had to work all weekend. It was great having her up to help and just to hang out. On our way to get my wisdom teeth out Mya got sick and threw up all over the car. Soooo my mom brought her home and got her all cleaned up and left me at the oral surgeons office. So here I was about to get my teeth yanked and all I could think about was whats wrong with little Mya.....but then the laughing gas and anesthesia kicked in. I woke up and there was my mom and Mya, she was ok!! I on the other hand was a mess, haha. My mouth was numb, bloody and full of gauze, but I survived at least!!!! My mom took care of me Friday and Saturday and went home Sat night. I was feeling much better, but sadly Mya was not. The poor thing got sick AGAIN!!!! She was up all night coughing and on Sunday she woke up in even worse shape. She puked all day Sunday and Sunday night. She got so bad at one point we ran her in to the Cloquet hospital, but they sent her home and told us to see her normal doctor in the morning. So on Monday we went to the Dr. and sure enough she has yet again another ear infection( the reason for the tubes) an upper respiratory infection and a stomach virus. This poor girl can't catch a break. I stayed home with her on Monday and we slept most of the day. She is feeling a little better today so we brought her to school and I went back to work. So far so good!!!

So besides all the ickyness above, we are getting ready to move into a townhome (at least we think we are) and Mya and I have a baby shower this weekend in Flensburg, MN. My best friend is having her first baby, a boy, Mya's future husband of course!!! Mya has also leaned to stand up from sitting on her own.....she is soooo proud of herself. She has also learned how to climb on the couch and chair so she is all over the place. That first step is just around the corner! Oh and she has also mastered every parents favorite question, "whats that?" So everything she sees she asks us whats that.......oh well we love every minute of it! A week of Surgeries!

Hello! Happy Monday! Once again the weekend just flew by, but it was a great weekend however! Friday was BEAUTIFUL outside, it was 75 degrees!!! Mya and I took advantage of the nice day and went for a walk at the park. Mya played on the swings and the slide for a little bit before getting hot and fussy. We headed home and took a long nap! Well Mya took a long nap anyways. Jayson had to work all weekend, but he made time for me and Mya as much as possible. We had lunch together on Friday after Mya's Dr. appointment where Mya surprised both of us. She had a Dora the Explorer sticker from the Doctors office with a picture of Backpack on it. I held it in front of her and asked who is that Mya....she responded with "Backpack." We were amazed she could say such a complex word for a little one...maybe its not so complex.....either way we were surprised!

Sunday was a nice quiet relaxing day!! We hung out at home and made homemade pizzas...YUM! I better get my food fix this week because on Friday my wisdom teeth come out....ALL 5 of them! I am a nervous wreck. Everyone keeps telling me horror stories!

Speaking of surgery, poor little Mya has surgery on Thursday. She is getting tubes in her ears to stop the ear infections she has been having! We hope this helps. Its a quick procedure so no worries.

Easter and More...

Hello all! Well Easter came and went, but it was a great weekend. Jayson and I went to Little Falls and hing out with my family down there. Mya went to her first Easter Egg Hunt and met the Easter Bunny again......she was not a huge fan. It was a busy weekend visiting family, going to see Hannah Montana....(yes Jayson brought me...I know I am a dork, but it was a cute movie, even Jayson liked it. I'm sure Il'l get in trouble for saying that...hahaha!!! ) and of course all the driving. Mya and I also had lunch with my best friend Laura on Saturday. It was great to see her even only for an hour or so!!! Mya tries hard to say her name, it usually comes out "Wora."

This weekend also brought on a new dance for Mya, which we like to call the shuffle...its more like a twist! Very funny, I wll try to post it along with some pictures soon.

Last Friday Mya had 2 doctor appointments, one being her 15 month check up and the other being with the Ear Nose and Throat Dr. Her Dr. said she is a smart healthy baby. but the only problem is she has alot of fluid in her ears causing ear infections....so tubes is our only answer. She has been on SO MUCH medication, that her Doctors said it was time for tubes. I know its a simple surgery, but the thought of little Mya being put to sleep and laying on an operating table breaks our hearts....but its all for the best! They said she will be back in our arms in 15 minutes! So that will happen on April 23rd...just one day before my wisdom teeth come out...ICK!!!!

Today is Mya's Baptism Birthday so we are taking her out to dinner to celebrate. Its hard to believe its been a year already, time sure flies.

Have a great Easter Weekend

Hello, we just wanted to say Happy Easter to everyone. We will be out of town. We are going to my mom and dads in Little Falls on Friday and won't be back in Duluth until Sunday! Mya will be going to her first Easter Egg hunt, so that should be alot of fun!!! Take care and drive safe if you are driving anywhere!!!!

Ok, so we have had some friends say we need to start "blogging" so here goes! Please be paitent as I (Amanda) figure this blog out....

So its April 8th already, and Mya will be 15 months in 2 short days! Its amazing how fast time has gone, and I get a feeling it will only continue this way. It seems like just yesterday Jayson and I brought Mya home....CRAZY! It's so funny when we see other babies now, its hard to imagine that Mya was ever that little. But speaking of little babies I have a ALOT of friends that are preggers right now, so its hard not to have baby fever...BUT NO WORRIES, no plans for that anytime soon! LOL!! Mya keeps us both plenty busy and always on our toes.

So just a quick recap of what we have been up to to start this blog off....

Jayson is working at Red Rock Radio Station in Duluth.....he is busy being on 4 stations and being the Production Director....poor guy is working his butt off!

Amanda is working for Impact Advertising in Duluth....I work part time so that I can be home with Mya as much as posible.

Mya is in a great school and loves all her friends and teachers there! She goes 4 days a week right now. She is learning so much, from sign language (she now tells us when she needs a diaper change), colors, shapes and it seems like new words everyday! She is not walking quite yet, but is so close.......she is still a little scared to let go of mommy and daddy's hands!

Oh and of course...Jayson popped the question...we are happily engaged....planning a wedding for next March (hopefully) down in Jamacia!
